Nnamdi Kanu Says ESN Is God-ordained And Cannot Be Handed Over To Governors |The Republican News

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB), has rejected calls for the South-East Governors to take over the Eastern Security Network (ESN) he formed.

Kanu who was responding to the call by the founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) and leader Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), Ralph Uwazuruike, for ESN to be handed over to the Governors described the suggestion by Uwazuruike as a trap and shame.

Uwazuruike had earlier accused Kanu of inciting ethnic cleansing in the South-East zone and parts of the South-South region.

Addressing the press in Owerri, the capital city of Imo State on March 1, the MASSOB founder and leader, Uwazuruike, said Kanu, the IPOB leader whom he recruited “into the struggle” is brainwashing Igbo youths into taking arms against the Federal Government.

Uwazuruike said he will applaud Kanu if only he can repent. He also urged the South-East Governors’ Forum to take over the Eastern Security Network created by Kanu.

Responding, Kanu in a statement signed by the spokesman of IPOB, Emma Powerful, challenged Uwazuruike to create his own security outfit and hand it over to the governors.

Kanu added that ESN is created by God with the heavenly mandate to liberate the Igbos and can’t be handed over to any politician to manage.

The statement reads: “The attention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has been drawn to the shameful statement credited to the hotelier and hostel builder in our society who has been parading himself as the leader of a shameless and disgraceful group called MASSOB /BIM, Chief Ralpheal Elebeanya Uwazuruike, that God-ordained Eastern Security Network, ESN, security outfit established by our liberator Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should be handed over to South East Governors to manage.

“How on earth did Uwazuruike think that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu should handover the heavenly ordained ESN to the slaves installed by the Caliphate in different Government Houses in Biafraland? His intention of making such stupid suggestion is to turn ESN into another Eastern region version of the heavily politicized and now toothless security outfit formed in other regions. IPOB cannot fall for their trap!

“Uwazuruike is not ashamed of himself by trying to use ESN to cover his atrocities in Biafraland. Uwazuruike was the man who boasted that he had more boys than Mazi Nnamdi Kanu that should he unleash his boys no place would contain them.

“We, therefore, challenge Uwazuruike to form his own security outfit and hand over to the South East and South-South governors. IPOB and its leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu are capable of managing ESN to pursue its mandate.”

Meanwhile, the youth wing of the Ohanaeze group, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC) has called on security operatives to arrest Sheikh Ahmad Gumi immediately.

This is as the youth wing of the Igbo socio-cultural group alleged that the popular Islamic cleric is providing support for terrorists troubling Nigeria and deserves to be arrested with them.

The OYC in its submission also condemned the statement credited to Gumi in a recent interview with BBC pidgin, where he was reported to have compared late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu with the bandits.

However, angered by the comparison, the OYC in a statement by its President-General, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike said Gumi should have been arrested for making such an inciting statement.

Nnabuike warned that contrary to what he claims as a negotiator and peacemaker, Gumi is one of the persons responsible for the rising insecurity in Nigeria and the boldness of the bandits and other criminals in carrying out their wicked activities.

Hand Over Eastern Security Network To S’East Governors, Uwazuruike Tells Nnamdi Kanu |The Republican News

Small
Chief Ralph Uwazuruike

Ralph Uwazurike, leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), has warned that Igbos cannot afford another war.

Uwazurike spoke at a press conference in Owerri, Imo State capital on Monday.

He also cautioned leader of the proscribed Independent People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, against inciting Igbo youths against the nation’s security agencies.

Uwazurike warned the South-East to shun Kanu’s agitation, NAN reports.

He described the IPOB leader as a “nobody, who only wants to put them in harm’s way”.

“Those agitating for war know they can’t defeat Nigeria but they want to enrich themselves, so they have continued to deceive our youth.

“Igbo’s cannot afford to go to another war with Nigeria and at no point should they be incited into hostilities with the rest of Nigeria.

“Mobilising youths against their leaders and constituted authority is what we should guard against because we cannot defeat Nigeria,” Uwazurike said.

The MASSOB leader advised the governors to take over the Eastern Security Network (ESN) to ensure the outfit was not deployed for mischievous purposes.

Uwazurike suggested that the network be trained and equipped and made to work in synergy with the police and other security agencies. (Source: Punch)

MASSOB Leader, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike

The founder of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) otherwise called Biafra Independent Movement (BIM), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, is billed to lead four other leaders of the group to the United States of America for the formal inauguration of Biafra as the 46th member nation of the Unrepresented Nations and People’s Organisation (UNPO) of the United Nations.

According to a statement issued by the President of Biafra Internal Government (BIG), Chief Solomon Ordu Chukwu, through the Biafran Director of Information, Elder Chris Mocha, the inauguration is billed for July 31 to August 2, 2020, in Washington D.C, USA.

“A full delegation of Biafran government will attend the Unrepresented Nations and People organisation of the General Assembly in Washington DC. Chief Ralph Uwazuruike is expected to lead four other leaders of Biafra Internal Government during the inauguration or swearing-in ceremony into the UNPO membership”, Chukwu was quoted have said.

He recalled that the successes achieved by Uwazuruike led MASSOB began in November 1, 1999, when it submitted Biafra Bill of Rights to UN in which the group stated that the people of Biafra, consisting of the five Igbo speaking states of the southeast and with large population in Rivers, Delta, Cross River, Akwa-Ibom and Bayelsa states, is one of the Geo- political zones in Nigeria, and numbering about 40 million people, humbly seek to be admitted, registered or in the alternative, be treated as an UNPO member.

According to him: “In the said letter addressed to UN Secretary General, Mr. Koffi Anan (may his soul rest in peace) entitled: “Application for admission as UNPO member, MASSOB led by Chief Ralph Uwazuruike pointed out that world leaders and all other-peace loving people of the global community, had an imperative and conscientious duty not to fold their hands and permit what it called the grand conspiracy of enslavement, violence and destruction against Igbo Christians to go unchecked.”

Chukwu, however, added that it was this first application and several others in recent times that prompted UN to admit Biafra as 46th member of the UNPO on April 22, 2020. He disclosed further that Biafra flag shall be hoisted in front of the UNPO Secretariat, stating that UNPO general secretary, Ralph Bunche, had, in his letter addressed to BIM-MASSOB leader, Ralph Uwazuruike, dated April 22, 2020, expressed his gladness to welcome Biafra as a new member of the international body.

Chukwu equally expressed his happiness that the annual membership fee of 3,000 Euros has been transferred through bank to bank transfers of UNPO since May 27, 2020, preparatory to the General Assembly at Washington DC from July 31 to August 2, 2020.
