Osinbajo May Face Worst Humiliation Than Former Chief Justice Of Nigeria, Onnoghen — Ohanaeze

Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osibanjo

Ohaneze Ndigbo Youth Council (OYC)  Worldwide Sunday advised the Vice President, professor Yemi Osibanjo, to quit his 2023   presidential ambition and focus on his calling as a pastor or be ready to face humiliation.

President General of OYC, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, in a statement said from the handwriting on the wall, Osibanjo’s fate may be worse than that of former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Walter Onnoghen.

According to the statement, the outright sack of VP’s aides is a sign that he might face humiliation like Justice onneghen.

The statement reads I parts: “There is a sinister motive behind the sacking of VP Osibanjos political aides. This shows that VP Osibanjo might face humiliation like CJN Justice Walter Onneghen and he is likely on his way out of office. It is just a matter of time before he faces the worst treatment akin to what former CJN Onneghen witnessed.

“Senator Ahmed Bola Tinubu, the National leader APC had likely seen this handwriting on the wall and carefully choose to support and side President Muhammadu Buhari instead of Osibanjo, his political godson.

“When Senator Ahmed Tinubu said that there is nothing wrong  for the President to sign the offshore bills in London while observing his private visit without transmitting power to VP Osibanjo;  it’s a clear testimony that VP Osibanjo is likely on his own and should mend his ways,” the statement reads.

RUGA Threat: We Will Hold Northern Governors Responsible – Ohanaeze Youths

By Emmanuel Uzodinma

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, has threatened fire over the ultimatum issued by what it called a faceless coalition of Northern Youths over the controversial Ruga settlement.

DAILY POST reports that the youths had given the Federal Government 30 days to implement Ruga across the 36 States and the FCT.

But reacting, the OYC, through its President-General, Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, said their Northern counterparts were taking more than required.

He said “Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth council worldwide had studied diligently and weighed the implications of the recent threat and 30-day ultimatum from a certain Northern group named “Coalition of Northern groups” over the suspension of Ruga settlement by the Presidency.

“We would have ignored them but for the unnecessary tension in the Southern Nigeria, especially Igbos emanating from the threat of this Northern group.

“We are fully aware that this recent threat is targeted only on the lives and properties of peaceful Nigerians of Igbo extraction doing businesses in 19 Northern States, and this is a declaration of war against the Igbos.”

He said though the Igbo youths would not fail to explore all peaceful avenues for the protection of lives and properties of Igbos living in the 19 Northern States, “our peaceful approach should not be understood as weakness as there are other options open to us over the recent threat.”

Isiguzoro, however, lauded President Muhammadu Buhari “for the suspension of the Ruga settlement program and the careful approach of the National Economic Council under Vice President Yemi Osibanjo and the Sub Committee led by Governor Dave Umahi.

“We urge the Coalition of Northern groups to direct Northern Governors to opt for the second option of ranching through this peaceful National livestock Transformation Programme rather than Ruga settlement, which was clearly rejected by the Southern Nigeria, especially the South East /South-South Governors and the people.

“OYC wishes to remind the leadership of the coalition of Northern groups of the grave implications of this recent threat. In the interest of national peace and security, they should withdraw the 30-day ultimatum, immediately.

“They’re out to use the guise of Ruga settlement program for land grabbing in the in Southern Nigeria; we warn that the Youths of South East and South-South are not ready to stomach the threat of genocidal ethnic cleansing against the Igbos in the North.

“We call on Igbos to be vigilant and defend themselves and if the Northern Governors, Northern Elders Forum, Arewa Consultative Forum, Northern Traditional Rulers led by Sultan of Sokoto and Religious leaders are not behind the recent threat, they should condemn it vehemently and call the warring youths to order.

“If they fail, we will hold them responsible for any loss of life or properties resulting from this.”

Herdsmen: We’ve Had Enough Killings, Destruction In South East, Ohanaeze Youths Warn |RN

By Godwin Aliuna

The leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, on Thursday declared that the South-East region would no longer fold its hands and allow herdsmen to continue to kill, terrorise and destroy properties worth millions of naira of the Igbo in the zone.

The group made this known through a press statement signed by the OYC President-General, Mr. Okechukwu isiguzoro, and made available to DAILY POST in Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi state.

The statement reads in part: “Ohanaeze has Studied the recent threat of genocidal ethnic cleansing by Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria against the people of the South East for ” their alleged stubbornness “and subsequently the denial of Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, Zonal Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria Southeast zone, for his apologies and explanations to the people of South East are dead on arrival, as it’s a diversionary tactics to get back to the people of South East unawares, unprepared and to douse the already soaked tension emanating from the leak press release of their planned atrocities because of the resistance of the people of South East against the establishment of cattle colonies in Igbo land.

“We have not forgotten the continuous rape of women (their farms) in Igbagu in izzi and isu in Onicha LGAs in Ebonyi, the continuous invasion and killings by herdsmen In Uzo Uwani and Nsukka environs in Enugu, the recent atrocities in Aba, where herdsmen chopped off a lady’s hand in Abia, and other detailed nefarious activities of
Fulani herdsmen in Anambra and Imo States respectively. We will not fold our arms and allow evil to thrive by these notorious herdsmen. Never again should we allow them to strike unchallenged.

“We will not take laws into our hands to fight back, but rather as a matter of urgency, We call for the establishment of state vigilant groups or the return of the dreaded famous ” Bakassi Boys” with special mandate to engage the armed herdsmen.

“We call on the incoming leadership of State House of Assemblies in Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States and existing leadership in Anambra to proceed without delay to enact laws to establish Local vigilant groups with special mandate to protect our boundaries and fish out armed herdsmen from peaceful cattle rearers, who operate in unholy hours of day.

“We are amazed that over the years that these armed herdsmen had created routes in our bushes and forests where they either have temporary settlement or hideouts as a base for them to prepare to launch attack to their target local communities.

“We call on our Town Unions and Community based groups to be vigilant about the purported rumour of attack by armed herdsmen, never allow them to caught us unawares and unprepared, for any blood of any igbo man killed by these herdsmen will not be tolerated and will be resisted, Ndigbo ” Hausa abatago na Awka” Ndigbo “Agwo nno na akirika”. Stop sleeping at nights, be vigilant Southeast residents,” the council warned.
