Miyetti Allah To Shut Down Meat Market All Over Nigeria, Says Nigerians Will Know Their Value

Miyetti Allah leadership

Follow the shocking move made by Miyetti Allah to shut down meat markets in Enugu state due to insecurity of the herdsmen residing in Enugu, the leader of cattle breeders association has made an open announcement that there is going to be a nation wide shutdown of all the meat markets in Nigeria.

He made this statement on live TV program in AIT kastina.
He said ” There is going to be a serious scarcity of meat in Nigeria very soon because we are shutting down entire meat markets in Nigeria. This is because entire Igbo people in Southern Nigeria here have never appreciated our constant effort over the years now to ensure availability of meat in the nation”

Even when the government decided to support our work to establish the RUGA settlement in South, the Igbo’s were the first to oppose that notion, thereby causing the plans of the federal government to be null and void.

We have decided to shutdown the meat markets nationwide just to see how terrible life will be without meat for months. You can never appreciate our works until the day we take this action.

Apart from this, we are also doing this to save the lives of herdsmen residing in South East and South South based on threats we have received many times from the leader of Ohaneze Ndigbo and from people in Enugu, Abia and Rivers State, which is not a good sign that our lives are secured.

The only news we hear daily is just accusations of killings just like the hersmen were recently accused of killing a Reverend father in Enugu which we know it was a cooked plan.

This new plan will take place few weeks from now and Nigeria will see our values.

Insecurity: Stop Labelling Fulani Criminals, Says Bodejo, Miyetti Allah President

Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo

PAUL OMOKUVIE, Bauchi

The President of Fulani socio-cultural association, Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, Alhaji Bello Abdullahi Bodejo, has said that allegations of Fulani being behind some violent criminal activities in the country were not true.

Bodejo said, rather most crimes such as kidnapping, armed robbery and farmers-herders’ clashes among others were instigated by some politicians and enemies of Fulani to blackmail the ethnic group and to cause unnecessary confusion and disaffection.

He said this in Bauchi over the weekend  while interacting with reporters, saying  acts of kidnapping and armed robbery shown in videos via social media were all drama to portray Fulani in bad light.

He said:  “You as journalists, have you ever investigated those they arraign in court after the drama; if any, did the court convict them? Did I challenge you the press to tell me any ethnic group that does not have people with questionable character?  Were they not being arrested by security agencies, did you ever hear security agencies describing their ethnic group? Why are they doing this to Fulani? Even in the drama, do you see the picture of the actor asking them questions? It’s only blackmail.”

He said even the farmers and herders fracas had been politicised, recalling that the misunderstandings between the two groups was age-longed, and have traditional ways of resolving them.

Bodejo said: “But unlike before, when these feuds happened, they and were resolved immediately. But politicians now use them as ways of causing disaffection between Fulani and other tribes.”

He said as part of the blackmail, on many occasions, “you will see someone taking pictures from accident scenes and before you know, they post it on social media claiming Fulani herdsmen were responsible for the killings; it’s unfortunate.”

Bodejo said that his kinsmen herders do not bear arms of any form except the traditional sticks they are known for.

On the controversial plan by Federal  government to establish ranches across the country known as RUGA, the Miyetti leader faulted northern governments at all levels for being insensitive to the plights of Fulani herdsmen in the country.

He said: “The Nigerian government has been insensitive to the plights of Fulani herdsmen across the country even when they are contributing immensely to the nation’s economy through their herd business.

“Let the Federal government bring back the grazing reserves across the country. We have national and international cattle routes across the country; they have been taken over by modern roads, These are the rights of Fulani as citizens. I agreed that cattle-rearing is a personal business, but governments must look for ways of easing business for these herders. If the government can disburse billions of Naira as loans to petty traders across the country which are personal business, then they (governments) should also look at what they can do to ease Fulani herders in their cattle-rearing business, it is a business that governments at all levels must support them to do at ease.”

Bodejo said Fulani are educated and are leaders in Nigeria, saying the majority of the northern governors, ministers and emirs are sons and daughters of Fulani and they need to protect the group and provide them with  the essential social services in their settlements and that will help to ease their sufferings and make them live happily.

He commended the Jigawa State government for doing more to assist the Fulani and challenged all northern states governors to implement the grazing reserve policy in their states.

Proscribe MACBAN, Arrest Miyetti Allah Leaders Now, Ohanaeze, Yoruba, Ijaw Youths Tell Buhari |RN

President Muhammadu Buhari

By Godwin Aliuna

The leadership of three indigenous youth groups from the major geopolitical zones in Southern Nigeria Wednesday called on President Muhammadu Buhari to immediately proscribe the Myetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), as well as order the arrest of the MACBAN leadership.

This was contained in a statement signed by Aremo Oladotun Hassan, President, Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide; Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, President-General, Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide and Barr. Pereotubo Oweilaemi, President, Ijaw Youth Council Worldwide.

But in the press release made available to DAILY POST, the leadership of the groups said the indigenous youths organisations in the Southwest, South-south and Southeast geo-political zones of Nigeria and in the Diaspora can no longer tolerate the killings and threats from herdsmen in the said zones.

The statement reads: “We have watched keenly most of the controversial activities of MACBAN recently as it have directly and indirectly led to mass murder and Genocidal Ethnic Cleansing against innocent Nigerians through allegedly perceived agents: dreaded militia Herdsmen arm, with attendant daily mass killings in our various communities across the nation, especially the recent wake of crises, killings, kidnapping and community invasion by their armed bandits elements, under the aegis of Fulani Herdsmen terrorist group, despite the allegedly N100 billion Naira recently tangled by the Federal Government to pacify this dreaded group as a frontal measure to win the terrorism war. Unfortunately this singular stride has further increased our woes and agony unabated till date.

“The rude provocative call for Chief Obasanjo’s arrest is a ploy of Myetti Allah to derail Nigeria’s governance system to total anarchy, a semblance of Venezuelan and Rwandan genocidal ethnic cleansing agenda.

“Furthermore, it is an open invitation to put more hardship on the already helpless and suffocated citizenry, plagued in the world headquarters of poverty.

“However, we implore the Federal Government to desist from any attempt to arrest Obasanjo but to show conspicuous appreciation to the former president for courage to speak the truth to power.

“Similarly, the impunity move by the Myetti Allah is aimed at setting the nation ablaze, with attraction of grave consequences not limited thereto: political and economic sanctions from world super powers. We observed with keen interest the concurrent evil bedevilling the Nigerian state as a premeditated agenda to cause war and civil unrest in Nigeria.

“We are completely worried and compelled to react against the MACBAN for not calling for arrest of bandits and armed Herdsmen in the North, having continuously unleashed terror from Benue, Taraba, Osun, Enugu,Oyo, Ebonyi Ogun, Abia,Ekiti, Anambra and Ondo States without no fundamental arrest, not until recently on the Late Funke Olakunri’s killers arrest of suspects, though information is discreet and shoddy.

“However, we shall hold MACBAN accountable for this crimes, precipitating our move to equally file a legal action and petition against them both to our National Courts and the United Nations for championing ethnic cleansing agenda.

“Hence, precipitating the Yoruba Council of Youths Worldwide and Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, other South South Youth leaders under the Southern Nigeria Assembly to urgently call for a National (Youth)Dialogue Summit of selected youth leaders from all ethnic nationalities in Nigeria and other critical stakeholders, and the process of delegates invitation is on ahead of 30th September to 1st October, 2019 slated for Lagos, details will be out soon.

“Based on this premise, the National Dialogue shall serve as a means of urgently nipping in the bud and proffering immediate panacea to the hydra headed monsters called Armed Bandits/Killer Herdsmen on our various death points: intra-city and interstates highways, as well as addressing and setting the tone for a robust dialogue on other needful necessities; restructuring and new people’s constitution, economic integration and development, infrastructures, education, food security, youth and women empowerments, peace and security to mention a few,” they stated. Fulani Vigilante: MASSOB Calls SE Governors Cowards, PANDEF Asks Them To Form One In North East

Biafrans

Chukwudi Akasike and Theophilus Onojeghen

The Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra has described state governors in the South-East as cowards for failing to defend the Igbo when leaders of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria offered to raise a vigilante outfit to protect the region.

MASSOB explained that while the governors and leaders in the South-West were suggesting ways to tackle the menace of herdsmen within their states, governors in Igboland could not reject the suggestion.

Director of Information of MASSOB, Sunday Okereafor, who spoke to SUNDAY PUNCH in a telephone interview, said the Igbo should know that the attitude of their governors was an indication that they had no leader.

He said, “We say no to the plan to make Igboland part of Fulaniland. If there is any problem in the South-East, the governors indicted will pay the price; it is going to be a heavy price. We are ready for them.’’

Also, the Pan Niger Delta Forum also condemned the call by the cattle breeders association.

PANDEF warned the Federal Government not to heed the demand of the group, saying the government should stop treating the group with “obnoxious impunity.”

In a statement on Saturday signed by PANDEF’s National Secretary, Dr Alfred Mulade, it stated that the call was misplaced, promising to stand with other socio-cultural bodies, including the Ohaneze Ndigbo and Afenifere, to ensure failure of such plan.

PANDEF asked the group to rather form a vigilante group to tackle insurgency in the troubled North-East.

The statement read in part, “PANDEF stands solidly with its contemporaries, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Afenifere in their similar response as PANDEF’s position on this yet another reckless display of rabid impunity covered by rabid obnoxious immunity.’’ (Punch)

Eastern Region Assembly Condemns SE Governors Meeting With Miyetti Allah |The Republican News

The Eastern Region Assembly, ERA has responded in strongest terms the demand from the Miyetti Allah from South East governors for the Fulani herdsmen to be part of the vigilante group which are to be formed in the Eastern region. The idea of the vigilante is to form a security outfit to check against the menance of the murderous and marauding killer Fulani herdsmen, and the fact that the same group wants to be part of the vigilante security outfit raised eyebrows.

ERA, in their press release had this to say:

THE POSITION OF EASTERN REGION ASSEMBLY ON MIYETTI ALLAH RECENT REQUEST FOR VIGILANTE IN THE EAST

ERA (Eastern Region Assembly) is putting it to the entire governors in Alaigbo and the coastal parts of the region that a successful formation of alien vigilante translates to a successful invasion, occupancy, and outright takeover of our region.

The governors manning the state houses in the region should not forget that they are the custodians of our social pact – common will – and as such will be the ones to be held responsible for whatever social, political, and economic quagmire the region is faced with.

ERA, most especially, frowns at the persistent disunity of the state actors that dot the region, considering the fact that their contemporaries in the West work n-sync with their people. ERA wonders why the needed regional consciousness still remains a spook in the minds of both state actors and traditional leaders in our dear region.

It is the terse submission of ERA’s that as long as the led and leaders in the region cannot sit together and discuss the future of the region the way the West did and was able to anoint Gani Adams, our region will continue to float without any projected destination. Of course, the real reason behind our travails before and after the Civil War is our inability to talk as one people.

ERA was formed with the evasive consciousness of one people, related regional culture, diverse dialects from one language etc. We urge the entire people in the region to borrow a leaf from the West and start doing the needful. We must begin to think of our region first, since it is only in doing so that our tribes will fare better; for no tribe can stand alone: there is so much strength in unity.

ERA will not fail to blame the governors, legislators, and judicial activists in our region should any part of the region fall under indirect administration of aliens whose real goal is to conquer us – religiously, politically, and economically. But we cannot complain without proffering solution. ERA recommends as follows:

1) that the entire people, traditional actors, and state actors fashion out a way to come together vide a regional summit

2) that the regional summit be used to produce a generally acceptable leader who will be supported by the leaders and led in the region

3) that all wrongs in the past be discussed and forgiven in the interest of the region

4) that local vigilante groups in various parts of the region (Egbesu in Ijaw, Bakassi in Alaigbo etc) be reawaken by the state actors and traditional rulers for effective defense of the region

5) that regular meetings be held on rotational basis across the entire states that constitute the region, where issues affecting the tribes and region will be discussed.

Finally, ERA wishes to state that the recommendations put out is not exhaustive per se, since there are numerous others; however, we are sanguine that a successful implementation of these will be a good takeoff. Our governors, legislators, traditional rulers, ohanaeze, PANDEF, IYC, Akwa-Cross Council etc must arise and shield our entire region from this impending disaster. We are one people. We must reinvent our regional consciousness now. A united people are always invincible. God bless us all.

BREAKING: Nnamdi Kanu Condemns In Totality Underhand Agreement Between SE Governors, Miyetti Allah

The leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu has condemned in totality the underhand agreement between South East governors and Fulani herdsmen group known as Miyetti Allah. The Fulani herdsmen is officially declared by the USA government and UN as the fourth most dangerous terrorist group in the world.

In a press statement released today, the leader of IPOB strongly condemed the subtle acceptance of Fulani herdsmen to form members of the vigilante group in South East Nigeria by the governors from that region, something many groups from Igboland, including Ohanaeze frown at.

Read the press release below:

PRESS STATEMENT:

I condemn in totality, both in letter and spirit the underhand agreement between South East Governors and Fulani terrorists that led to the idiotic call by Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association (MACBAN), the fouth most deadly terror group in the world, for the establishment of Fulani terrorist vigilante groups in Igboland Biafra.

Without much ado, I wish to state as follows:

  1. That it is extremely shocking and shameful that, at a time when Fulani cattle herders have turned to terrorists and ravaging the North, Middle Belt and Yorubaland, Southeast Governors allowed Miyetti Allah to get away with such criminal demand on our soil. It’s akin to telling someone in advance that you are coming to rob his house and he allowed you to just walk away, while pleading with you that you should reconsider. Instead of ordering their immediate arrest on the spot for daring to so brazenly reveal their criminal intention to invade Igboland, the spineless cowards that pass for SouthEast Governors appear to want to accommodate their demands. No doubt as payback for being rigged back into power by Abba Kyari led Fulani Cabal that run the government of Nigeria in the name of a dead Buhari.

2.. Miyetti Allah a mere cattle trading association, that later turned into a militant terrorist organisation is now openly threatening to conquer Igboland with the help of Igbo governors. It defies logic that Southeast Governors would care to give audience in the open in Igboland to an organisation that has been rated the fourth deadliest terrorist organisation in the world. Did the Southeast Governors stop to consider that Biafran traders in the far North, even though law abiding, can never be given the audience and reverence that these Southeast governors have so shamefully extended to Miyetti Allah.

3… Considering the weak and rambling response of Governor Dave Umahi to this criminal demand, we are certain these Southeast Governors have already granted this request; and in the unlikely event they have not, it’s highly probable that they will, albeit secretly. In such event, I hereby warn Miyetti Allah, Southeast Governors and their collaborators in the Southeast and elsewhere in Nigeria that IPOB will not tolerate the establishment of any Fulani militia, masquerading as vigilantes, in Southeast or anywhere else in Biafraland.

4…. We recall that it is the stated intention of IPOB to set up vigilante services, otherwise known as Biafran Security Services (BSS) that was used as the immediate excuse by the same Southeast Governors to proscribe IPOB, whereupon they proceeded to invite the Government of Nigeria to declare IPOB a terrorist organisation, all of which culminated in the Python Dance that claimed scores of innocent Biafran lives.

We are eagerly waiting for Miyetti Allah and their Fulani terror militia in Biafraland, an adventure they will regret for as long as they live. Their ancestors tried the same nonsense 300 years ago and returned to Zaria in humiliation, so will this Fulani army of darkness fail in 2019. Fulani caliphate must know that IPOB will not allow any of piece of Biafran territory to become another Illorin. We are waiting for Miyetti Allah with open arms.

Signed:

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu

IPOB Leader

Herdsmen: We’ve Had Enough Killings, Destruction In South East, Ohanaeze Youths Warn |RN

By Godwin Aliuna

The leadership of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council, OYC, on Thursday declared that the South-East region would no longer fold its hands and allow herdsmen to continue to kill, terrorise and destroy properties worth millions of naira of the Igbo in the zone.

The group made this known through a press statement signed by the OYC President-General, Mr. Okechukwu isiguzoro, and made available to DAILY POST in Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi state.

The statement reads in part: “Ohanaeze has Studied the recent threat of genocidal ethnic cleansing by Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria against the people of the South East for ” their alleged stubbornness “and subsequently the denial of Alhaji Gidado Siddiki, Zonal Chairman, Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria Southeast zone, for his apologies and explanations to the people of South East are dead on arrival, as it’s a diversionary tactics to get back to the people of South East unawares, unprepared and to douse the already soaked tension emanating from the leak press release of their planned atrocities because of the resistance of the people of South East against the establishment of cattle colonies in Igbo land.

“We have not forgotten the continuous rape of women (their farms) in Igbagu in izzi and isu in Onicha LGAs in Ebonyi, the continuous invasion and killings by herdsmen In Uzo Uwani and Nsukka environs in Enugu, the recent atrocities in Aba, where herdsmen chopped off a lady’s hand in Abia, and other detailed nefarious activities of
Fulani herdsmen in Anambra and Imo States respectively. We will not fold our arms and allow evil to thrive by these notorious herdsmen. Never again should we allow them to strike unchallenged.

“We will not take laws into our hands to fight back, but rather as a matter of urgency, We call for the establishment of state vigilant groups or the return of the dreaded famous ” Bakassi Boys” with special mandate to engage the armed herdsmen.

“We call on the incoming leadership of State House of Assemblies in Abia, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States and existing leadership in Anambra to proceed without delay to enact laws to establish Local vigilant groups with special mandate to protect our boundaries and fish out armed herdsmen from peaceful cattle rearers, who operate in unholy hours of day.

“We are amazed that over the years that these armed herdsmen had created routes in our bushes and forests where they either have temporary settlement or hideouts as a base for them to prepare to launch attack to their target local communities.

“We call on our Town Unions and Community based groups to be vigilant about the purported rumour of attack by armed herdsmen, never allow them to caught us unawares and unprepared, for any blood of any igbo man killed by these herdsmen will not be tolerated and will be resisted, Ndigbo ” Hausa abatago na Awka” Ndigbo “Agwo nno na akirika”. Stop sleeping at nights, be vigilant Southeast residents,” the council warned.
