Former APC cubernatorial candidate in Imo State, Mr Uche Nwosu, was not kidnapped as it has been alleged by some online news outlets. Rather, he was arrested while attending boxing day church service in his village in Nkwere, Imo state as was confirmed by The Republican News
“Nwosu a son in-law of Chief Rochas Okorocha was taken into custody by Imo state police command while attending St. Peters Anglican Church Nkwerre by fully armed police officers
“He was driven away in a unmarked police vehicles, though the officers were on uniform and amidst some shooting in a video obtained by The Republican News,”
“The Imo state police command has also taken responsibility and refuted the fake news of his kidnap by unknown gunmen by some online news outlets.

ARREST OF CHIEF UCHE NWOSU
This is to inform the general public that chief Uche Nwosu was not kidnapped but was arrested by the police and Imo state police command is aware of the arrest and presently he is in police custody.
This is to refute the earlier news that has being making rounds on social media that he was kidnapped by unknown persons / gunmen.
The Commissioner of Police while using this medium to assure imolites of the command’s commitment in ensuring the safety of Life and prosperity this yuletide seasons, adviced the general public to always shun fake news .
