
The process to elect a governorship candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti State is currently ongoing.
It is expected to be a straight fight between the deputy governor, Kolapo Olusola, the candidate of Governor Ayo Fayose, and a former Minister of Works, Dayo Adeyeye.
A total of 1,966 delegates were accredited for the exercise.
Ifeanyi Okowa, governor of Delta state, is the chairman of the electoral committee.

The Senate Deputy Minority Whip, Biodun Olujimi, has stepped down from the governorship race for former Minister of Works, Dayo Adeyeye.
“For the benefit of our party, I offer myself and I transfer my structure to Prince Adeyeye.” Olujimi steps down for Adeyeye,” she said.
