Kenya coach David Ouma says the Harambee Starlets will throw in everything at defending champions Nigeria’s Super Falcons  in their Cameroon 2016 African Women’s Nations Cup last Group  B game  in Limbe on  Saturday.

The Harambee Starlets, who featuring in the tournament for the first  time since  its inception in Abeokuta in 1998, are out of the championship   after losing their two  group games. They lost   3-1  to Ghana  in their opening clash on Sunday, and were defeated by the same margin by  Mali on Wednesday.

Nigeria, who are seeking their eighth title in Cameroon,  will go  into   Saturday’s encounter with the Kenyans  as the leaders of the group.

Although the Falcons, who battled to a 1-1 draw against their fierce rivals Ghana on Wednesday are through to the semifinals along with the Black Queens, the seven-time African champions will look to beat Kenya to  maintain their position at the top of the table. This will help them get a favourable semifinal fixture.

But the Harambee Starlets boss Ouma  says they will not feel like frightened rabbits when they face  the Falcons, who began their 2016 African Women’s Nations Cup defence by pounding Mali 6-0 on Sunday.

“Our aim is to take the most from every game. We still have a game against Nigeria and there is nothing like resting key players. The players who are fit will play against Nigeria. We have to throw in what we have in the last game,” the coach told Cafonline on Thursday.

Nigeria coach Florence Omagbemi will rely on Arsenal Ladies forward Asisat Oshoala to inspire her charges to victory against Kenya  after   the striker failed to live up to expectations  against Ghana. Oshoala stamped her name on the scoresheet four times against Mali.   (
