
A suspected Boko Haram terrorist, Adamu Nuhu, was arrested by troops on Sunday at Kwaya Kusar Local Government Area in northern Borno, according to a statement issued Army spokeman, Col. Sani Usman.
Usman said on Monday that the arrest of the suspect followed tip off, adding “Nuhu is currently being interrogated.”
“Similarly, at about 5.43 p.m. yesterday – Sunday, three women suspected to be spouses of wanted Boko Haram terrorists and logistics suppliers were arrested at Miringa market by vigilante members in the town,” Usman said.
He said that killing followed an exchange of gunfire between the suspects and troops.
According to the army spokesman, three Dane guns and other dangerous weapons were recovered from the suspects. NAN
