Obesere In Trouble With Promoter For Leaking His New Music Video Without Consent

FUJI musician, Alhaji Qudus Abass Akande aka Obesere is in the news again. The Ibadan, Oyo State born musician is being battled by his promoter, Alhaji Taofeek Bello Abefe, the CEO of Solid Worth Entertainment.  According to findings, Taofeek feels betrayed by Obesere whom he accused of allegedly leak¬ing the video of his new song, Ebelesua, online, contrary to their agreement.  According to a source: “It is believed that there was an agreement between the duo which was for the promoter to release Ebelesua, along with other videos in the album. It’s on this alleged breach of agreement that we heard the promoter is now threatening to sue the artiste.”

However, when contacted, Obesere said he knew nothing about the leak: “I know noth¬ing about the video leak. I was even astonished when Solid Worth called and accused me of being responsible for the leak. When the video was leaked, the copy of the video was still with the director. I know nothing about the leak and I am sure that the director cannot do such a thing because he’s honest having worked with me and the promoter for over five years.”  Meanwhile, following the leak on April 20, 2016, the video has been enjoying massive rotation on TV stations across the country.              The Sun
