Fuel Scarcity: Stored Fuel Explodes, Kills Father, Two Daughters

These are the consquences of storing fuel which is caused by the prevalent fuel scarcity around the coutnry. Fuel or petrol is a highly inflammable liquid, and must not be stored in the house or in the house premises, except inside the tanks of cars or in secured shielded and isolated tank containers. They must be nowhere close to a residential place.

Owing to the recent severe fuel scarcity rocking Lagos, attempts by a family to store fuel on Wednesday backfired as the product exploded, killing the patriarch of the family and his two daughters.

The incident, which happened at No.5 Adeniyi street, Shomolu Oja, Lagos State, not just claimed the lives of the man and his daughters, who were identified as Mr. Shade Aduwo and his two daughters, 16-year-old Adura and 18-year-old Mistura, but also razed down the properties.

In a similar development, another fire incident occurred along Oyedele Street, off Liasu Road, Egbe, claiming the life of the 68-year-old sick occupant.
