Nnamdi Kanu’s Wife Speaks To The British TV On Why Biafrans Need A Separate Country

The issue of Biafra is consistently a very contentious one and it is usually very emotional for all sides whenever it is been raised and discussed.

Even President Buhari in his first Media Chat and  in an interview with Al-Jazeera showed far more emotion and agitation when he was confronted with the issue surrounding Biafra. That goes to demonstrate how the issue is very sentimental or emotional to everyone.

This is perhaps due to the colossal economic or resources issues around Biafran region, which is the main source of revenue for the government of Nigeria. Economically, without Biafran region Nigerian government cannot  function. That is indisputable statistical fact. This is aboslutely the reason any government of Nigeria get very agitated whenever the issue of Biafra is raised.

But the issue is shouldn’t the government treat those from whose region these reveunes come from better? The chicken that lays the golden egg should and must be treated special, if more golden eggs must be laid.

If the president could show such emotion whenever he spoke  or heard about Biafra, you wonder why he is handling the issue the way he does.

Here in this video, the wife of Nnamdi Kanu, the director of Radio Biafra, who is under detention, though he has been ordered by the judge to be released, spoke about why Biafra should have their own country.

Perhaps his prolonged detention explains the unusual emotion the president always demonstrates whenever he speaks about issue around Biafra.

At the end of the video, texts about the stand of the British Government towards the case was expressed. The British does respect the territorial integrity of Nigeria. But does not see Nnamdi Kanu as a threat to the leadership of Nigeria.
