Yet another early morning fire outbreak has erupted the Mammy Market of the Nigerian Navy Town, Ojo in Lagos today.
This is the third fire incident Lagos is recordng this week: Niger Biscuit exploded on Sunday, Kuramo was on flames on Monday and Mammy market on Tuesday.
However, according to witnesses the fire started at 3a.m. and consumed most of the market areas where they sell children’s clothings and other perishable items.
Although the fire has been contained by the Lagos State Fire Service and other fire trucks from the Naval Ordnance Depot, witnesses said that goods worth millions of naira may have been lost to the fire. The cause of the fire is yet unknown.
