DSS Ekiti Arrest: Ex-Rep Spoke Out Against Lawmakers For Protest At American Embassy

By Olakiitan Victor

A member of the seventh House of Representatives, Hon Bamidele Faparusi, has described as a colossal embarrassment to Nigerians the protest staged by members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly at American Embassy in Abuja in opposition to the arrest of a fellow legislator by the Department of State Services.

The former federal parliamentarian said rather than ‘Fayose’s stooges’ to have washed their dirty linen in public by ‘ignorantly’ involving America in the internal affairs of Nigeria , their grievances could have better been channelled
through the National Assembly .

On the succession battle that is gradually gathering momentum in Ekiti ahead of 2018 , the chieftain of the All Progressives Congress exuded confidence that his party will zone the governorship ticket to the south senatorial district in the spirit of fairness and equitable distribution of power.
