The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria paid today a courtesy visit to the Aso Villa to appreciate the cooperation of the federal government, and to use the opportunity to discuss some challenges facing the government and the manufacturing sector, and how to move the country’s economy forward.
“The president of the Association Mr Frank Udemba Jacobs commended the government and said that they are pleased with the response of the vice president. He said that the economic challenges facing the country need to be addressed if the economic diversification drive of the government is to be realised. He also commented on the recent pronouncement of the central bank on foreign exchange
The stoppage of funding of the bureau the change will make funds available for raw materials for manufacturing, which is the productive sector. We are happy about that, and I think that will help in addressing one of our challenges, that of accessing forex for our raw materials”, said Dr Frank Udemba Jacob.
The Association also noted that with the fall in oil price there should an understanding on government positions on matters that concern the economy.
